If the battery has been discharged or disconnected, or if the related fuse has been replaced or disconnected, for the power liftgate to operate normally, reset the power liftgate as follow:
And then press the power liftgate outer handle switch for more than 3 seconds with pressing the power liftgate open/close button. The chime will cound.
Wait until the liftgate is open fully and stopped.
If the power liftgate does not work properly after the above procedure, have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.
NOTICE
If the power liftgate does not operate normally, check again if the gear is in the correct position.
Power liftgate speed adjustment
To adjust the power liftgate speed, go to 'Vehicle ? Door ? Power liftgate speed ? Normal/Fast' within the instrument cluster settings of the infotainment system.

Power liftgate opening height setting
The driver may set the height of a fully opened liftgate by following the below instruction.
The liftgate opening height can be adjusted within the instrument cluster settings or the infotainment system.
To adjust the power liftgate opening height, go to 'Vehicle ? Door ?Power
Liftgate Opening Height ? Level 1/Level 2/Level 3/Full Open/User Height Setting' to adjust the vehicle's liftgate height.

The liftgate opening height can be adjusted within the instrument cluster settings or the infotainment system.
To adjust the power liftgate opening height, go to 'User Settings Door Power Liftgate Opening Height User Height Setting' to adjust the vehicle's liftgate height.
Follow this instruction to adjust the liftgate height:
The initial setting for 'User Height Setting' is identical to 'Full Open'.
The liftgate will open to the height the driver has set up.
